Work Experience

Work Experience is an important part of careers. It is an excellent opportunity for students to gain an understanding of the skills and qualities required by employers.

All Year 10 students are expected to complete a minimum of three virtual work experiences over the course of the year. Find out more about Year 10 Virtual Work Experience

There is a variety of platforms/websites that students can use to complete their virtual work experiences.

  • U-Explore has a number of on-demand work experiences and information sections that can be found here.
  • Unifrog is the online careers platform that we use throughout school. They offer courses, enabling students to develop their knowledge in a variety of areas, including several work experiences. Students can use the search bar and search for ‘courses’ or use the links below.

Year 12 Work Experience

In the summer term, Year 12 students all complete a 1 week work experience placement. In order for students to gain the valuable job-hunting skills, which are so important in today’s job market, we ask that all students take responsibility for planning and finding their own placements. We strongly advise students make contact with prospective employers by Christmas time, as other schools will be participating in work experience during this period.

Please see the 2025 Year 12 Work Experience Guide to help students with searching, applying, recording and preparing for their placement.
