Religious Studies, Philosophy and Ethics

Students in Year 11 have one lesson of Religious Studies per week in which they continue to complete a full GCSE in Religious Studies.

The syllabus covers key beliefs and practices from both Islam and Christianity and then applies these teachings to more philosophical and ethical issues, the study of which continues into Year 11.

Students will be given topic lists at the start of every unit and extra work could be centred around learning the key words and starting to compile revision notes and verses and teachings to support each topic.
