Why study Physical Education?
Studying Physical Education in Sixth Form is a natural progression from GCSE study and will help you on your path to your future career.
If you have a keen interest in sport and how the body and mind contribute to successful performance, then A level Physical Education is the course for you. The course develops your knowledge and understanding about sports performance including the mental and physical factors that contribute to success on the sports field.
There is a practical element to the course, which is more than just ‘playing’ and allows you to be assessed demonstrating your skills in coaching and officiating.
Studying Physical Education alongside other A level subjects such as Biology and Psychology will give you options to progress to study a related degree subject such as physiotherapy, sports coaching, sport and exercise sciences, sports marketing and sports journalism.
